The searing flame licked at my back like a scourge comprised of razor-wire. No scream, only silence as I waited for the fire to die away. It seemed pointless to make any gesture at all. No one to see my face. The vacuum of space now becomes my only witness as I drift forth within it.
“Do I continue?” I thought.
“Yes of course you do, always forward, never back.”
This was a decree I made some time ago although I can not pinpoint the time. Always sizing up the guidelines on how a super hero should live. An ever changing code that had become a vehicle that had sent me sprawling from my exploding planet into a drifting nothingness.
A grand planet she was. Nothing short of a utopia. I was not fit to rule. An endless playground of sound, speakers, synthesizers, that sent thrills into the hearts of her inhabitants. However her beauty was her demise. Her perfectly tuned pitch shattered the core and In one last finale of lights her inhabitants were crushed by audio waves which their bodies were not fit to withstand…that is…except for her king…floating now into the everdark…always forward…

New beats on the way soon.

Settling into the new pad to ok a while but I think we have things sorted now. Big plans for this place. We finally have the music room set up to the point where its useable. I’ve been talking with a few people about upcoming shows and you may see one from me as early as may. Working on a website as a gift to the detroit edm scene and it should be up and running in the next month or so.

….and feel free to send me to edc…thanks

Movie time!

Www.facebook.com/hardstylesuperhero just a reminder: I’m releasing a deadworld clip weekly on my page. This week is Danny K. Also pick up last years theme “Deadworld” on itunes, amazon, E music and most major music sites by searching “Mr. Busy the hardstyle superhero”

Hello Hardstyle United! We had a fantastic show last night despite the evenings complications. I had a wonderful time exploring the venue and discovering the new arsenal of sound that my fellow Dj’s & producers have unleashed upon the public. Dj BAMF was slammin’ hardstyle on the “HELL’S KITCHEN” stage. This was a perfect setting for a hardstyle set. I Mean, who wouldn’t want to play some murderous bass in what seemed to be a meat locker. Live Mau5 was also a sight to be seen playing some fantastic remixes and what I also believe to be some original tracks (It’s hard to tell, great production qualities, if you did guys take a bow…amazing). I was fortunate enough to catch a small bit of Starkiss who did not disappoint at all. I was running around filming for the begining of the night and then had to make a mad dash to setup for my opener (video). Regrets- Not seeing more of the acts (however I think I saw as much as possible), DPD shutting down the party before the beautiful Damselfly could smash our brains out with Gabber (out of our control), and not meeting more of my fans. I greatly appreciate the support & hope to see you next time! -HARDSTYLE UNITED!

~~~Saiyan ~~~
(Toronto, Ontario, Canuckistan)
Canadian Hardcore Collective, Krafty Radio, djsaiyan.com
Hardcore Stuff and or Things/Music That Doesn’t Suck
The year was 2001, at a tiny little club in downtown Toronto called the 160. Saiyan, having taken the name a scant few months before, was added last minute to the lineup of a party his roommate was throwing, and immediately blew the roof off the place. Oh wait, that’s a typo. That should say “completely blew chunks”. It was awful. Gobs The Zombie was there (back when he was still alive), you can ask him. But on that night Saiyan, at that point really more of a hobbyist DJ with a preference for freeform, was completely hooked on performing live, and he resolved to become the very best he possibly could in order to continue feeding this newfound addiction.
Ten years and a metric f***ton of practice later, Saiyan is one of the key members of the Canadian Hardcore Collective, and is considered by many to be one of the best hardcore DJs in all of North America. With his signature high speed, quick mixing, genre bending style he has rocked crowds from Quebec City to Phoenix, Seattle to New York City, Ottawa to Dallas, and everywhere in between. Literally everywhere. Even a mudhole on a mountain in West Virginia. When Saiyan finally makes his long awaited Detroit debut, there’s no way of knowing just what you’re going to get. But you can bet it will be awesome. Like a perfect double tap to the head of an incoming zombie. Or cupcakes. Mmmmm cupcakes.
~~~Gobs the Zombie~~~
Columns of Knowledge
Heavy Bass Multi-Media Experience/Toronto
Gobby Z has been thrilling raves and clubs as a top DJ and MC for over a decade. By 2003, as Gobstoppa, he was taking bookings across North America, while also holding residencies with two of the continent’s legendary promoters, Hullabaloo! and Goodfellaz. The crown of North America’s top hardcore MC was his until he died a tragic death in 2006. Fortunately for us Gobs rose from the dead to take over the stage as Gobs The Zombie. Since then, no dancefloor has been safe from his insatiable appetite for bass, beats and brains.

PERFORMANCE

Gobby Z has a performance style that combines DJing, MCing, video projections, stage theatrics, and crowd interaction. It really needs to be seen to be comprehended. luckily, he has a concert DVD. It was shot in 2007 at Toronto’s Sound Academy (then known as The Docs) by people in the crowd, during the city’s largest Halloween event.

The entire DVD is up on Youtube, split in to 7 parts…

~~Capt. Chedda~~
Troll Step/Flint
Nearly a decade ago this underdog released a demo that made HHC DJs mad. He raised the bar for HHC with his unmatched skills and styles. Every HHC DJ had a reason to practice more…and some of them did. Now its a whole new world and Cheddar has become nothing more than a facebook troll. I can’t even promise you a HHC set from this guy anymore thanks to his excessive trolling. He’s changed his genre from HHC to Jungle to Drumstep to Gabber and now Dub Step…he even said he was doing an accoustic guitar set, and every time he changed his genre he asked me if I was mad. Obvious troll is obvious, but if you look at his facebook page he’s sharing links to his favorite dub step songs. U mad Detroit?

Post zombie outbreak assessment..

This is the first moment I’ve had to sit and relax after the stupid amounts of fun I had with my yellowjackets (fans) this passed evening. I’m sitting here watching Adams Family Values and assessing my battle scars and contemplating where to begin.

I began my journey from the 313 with the lovely Dj Damselfly and our fantastic siidekick & roadtrip entertainment specialist Peanut. As we sped past the big Jesus northbound on 75 Peanut saw fit to break the monotonic rhythm of the passing dashed lines painted upon the asphalt with a fantastic use of alliteration. The subject matter…Bacon. Exquisite.

Arriving at Woobies was awesome. As I set up the turntables with the help of JessiXa & Dj Nadi. I was pleased to see that all members of Cheerleader were in attendance and all who attended participated in some form of zombie-ing. The beautiful Dj Damselfly made a food run and returned with a fabulous bounty of cheeseburgers & cheese sticks from the best fast food chain in the world…Haloburger……

Excuse me, I was salivating.

Zombies, Bass, booze, and extremely good company. Thank you all who made this night possible and thank you Flint for your attendance, good nature, & participation. I Love coming to Flint & partying with all of you.

p.s.

I found that ridiculous trapezoid piece from my CDJ case sitting on my damn desk. Stupid 4%. Ah well at least i got it.

Beat up from the feet up.

PhotobucketThe onslaught of fall stepped into the spotlight on the stage known as Detroit this week. I was excited to see that the yellow leaves had decided to pepper my back window.

This picture was taken on my way to a recording session with my band friends “The Whiz Kidz.” We recorded a new synth line for their new track “Liars Hill.” It was fun to step out of my comfort zone in the world of 4/4 timing and swap over to a 3/4. Very interesting yet very successful. Its a very good track and I hope you all check it out once its released. Here’s Erik engineering our new creation:

Photobucket

On top of working with the band on the new track I was invited out to the Tangent Gallery to partake in “Science.” I couldn’t resist; this party was thrown in one of my favorite Detroit Venues where we heard fantastic preformances from Omar Santana, Bizzare of D-12, Fuzzboy, Jeff Woodward as well as many others including yours truly. I had a great time spending the evening with Detroit’s own Dj Damselfly who was able to sneak a picture with the masterful Mr. Omar Santana.

Photobucket

It turned out to be a fantastic weekend. Can’t wait to see what the next one holds. Come out and be a part of it. Remember on October 21 we have our Zombie Nation party in Flint MI. For tickets & more information visit:
